Sept. 27, 2013, Milwaukee, WI – Kotchen & Low LLP filed an Amended Class Action Complaint in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin against Indian IT company Infosys, Ltd. and its subsidiary Infosys Public Services, Inc.

Plaintiffs allege that the Defendants engaged in a systematic pattern and practice of discriminating in favor of Indians and others of South Asian race and national origin in hiring, termination, and other employment decisions. Defendants collectively employ over 15,000 individuals in the United States. However, over 90 percent of Defendants’ U.S.-based work force is of South Asian race or national origin. South Asians make up only about 1-2 percent of the U.S. population overall.

Four non-South Asian Plaintiffs brought the action and seek to represent a class of similarly affected individuals. As alleged, the Defendants took numerous discriminatory adverse actions against the Plaintiffs, including failing to hire them, terminating them, and otherwise subjecting them to less-favorable treatment.
