Washington, DC, April 25, 2018 — Kotchen & Low LLP welcomes their newest associate, Atticus Lee. Ms. Lee received her undergraduate degree in Human Biology from Stanford University in 2010 and her J.D. from UC Davis School of Law in 2013.
Before joining the firm, Ms. Lee served as an Honors Trial Attorney with the Civil Rights Division of the U.S. Department of Justice, where she investigated and litigated a wide range of pattern-or-practice class action cases to protect the constitutional rights of vulnerable populations. Prior to her tenure at the Justice Department, Ms. Lee clerked for The Honorable Vanessa D. Gilmore for the U.S. District Court in the Southern District of Texas, and for the Fifth Circuit Court of Hawai’i in Kaua’i, Hawai’i.
Ms. Lee is an accomplished writer who recently co-authored a book on the 1965 Immigration and Nationality Act and its impact on American law and society, which was published by Cambridge University Press. Her freelance writing has also appeared in The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, Ms. JD, and the Stanford Undergraduate Research Journal.
She is licensed to practice in California. Her admission to the DC Bar is pending.
